Tips
Not all Dog Walkers are created equal, so it's important to find one that you feel confident in hiring.
Since we don't prequalify our listings, FindADogWalker.com recommends that you conduct interviews with your potential dogwalkers. Here are some questions to get you started:
- What Services do you offer?
- How long are your walks?
- Can I request a specific time of day for my walks?
- Do you walk one dog at a time? Or do you walk multiple dogs?
- Do you board pets if I go away on vacation?
- Do you go to off-leash parks?
- Are you licensed?
- Are you Insured/Bonded?
- Do you charge for your introductory meeting?
- What is your per-visit rate? Do you charge less for more visits?
- If your pet is brought to an off-leash area, how will your pet be secured in the vehicle? Some states now require the use of an approved seatbelt for larger breed dogs.
